Voting is unlimited and each match-up has a custom video showcasing the two plays. Kicking off the competition today is a preliminary round match-up between Tim Brown of the B.C. Lions and Demond Washington of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In total, eight different plays will be featured in the TSN Play of the Year Showdowns preliminary round, which runs from Nov. 4-7. Vote for your favourite plays for 24 hours, with the winners moving on to the quarter-finals and facing off against the four plays that were given byes. The quarter-final round runs Nov. 8-11, with the winners advancing to the semifinal round match-ups on Nov. 12 and 14. Voting for each match-up in the quarter-final and semifinal rounds lasts for 48 hours. The two plays emerging from the semifinals will move on to the championship round.
